Accessibility statement

As an accessibility auditor, I hold my own website to the same standard I test for clients. Everyone should be able to use this site, including people using screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification and other assistive technology.

Standard

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What I've done

• Built the site with semantic HTML, clear headings, landmarks and a skip link.
• Made every link, button and form usable with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• Labelled all form fields, and made errors clear, linked to the field and announced to screen readers.
• Checked color contrast for text, buttons and focus indicators.
• Made pages work at 200% text size, 400% zoom and on small screens.
• Respected the reduced motion setting on your device.
• Written content in plain language that describes people with respect.

How it's tested

I test this site by hand with a keyboard and with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver screen readers, and check it with automated tools. Testing is repeated when pages are added or changed.

Known limitations

I'm not aware of any current barriers. If you find one, I want to know.
